Couldn’t miss out on the chance to be part of the buntastic BUNT exhibition organised by the guys at Drawn in Bristol. Each artist is given a piece of wooden bunting and asked to depicting an endangered species. I decided to pay tribute to our very own dinosaur look-alike , the great crested newt. As a late starter the clock was against me but I enjoyed myself so much that I managed to get it all done within a day. It was a nice change of medium and great fun getting all the paints out. There’s something therapeutic about painting directly onto wood and a nice change to be no where near an ⌘Z button!
Work in progress. Paper cut outs to get some shapes out and play around with composition…
