Baron Brandy’s Boots illustrated by Gerald Rose

January 8, 2013

20p for a Gerald Rose illustrated book?! Why yes please, indeedy.

Rose’s lively textures and colours bring energy to the story and his compositions are inspiring. My favorite has to be those mountain scene end pages. Glad I popped into my local charity shop and added to my slightly ridiculous book collection.

My For The Love of Plants print is currently being exhibited at WestBeach as part of TheGallery’s Off – Site Winter Art Programme from 6th December 2012 to 10th January 2013. Its the full size version so pretty big at 1200 x 1800mm! If you’re down Bournemouth way you may want to pop it. Its a great excuse to take a stroll along the beach front and feast on some award winning food.

To purchase the framed print on display, please direct your enquiries to TheGallery:  or 01202363351

I’ll get a photo of it in situ as soon as I get the chance to visit Bournemouth again.

Paper and Apparel

December 8, 2012

Isn’t it great when you discover a brilliant band, before they get too big? Well I’ve got that same feeling with a print company instead.

Paper and Apparel have just launched their shiny new website, showcasing some fabulous t-shirt designs. I’m super excited to have working sitting alongside Claire Wood, Dan Molyneux, Ed J Brown, Emma Reynolds, Kate Rowland, Donya Todd & Phil Simpson. Converting one of my illustrations into a three colourway screen print has been a learning curve, especially with my rough charcoal marks, but I’m really happy with how its turned out. Some of the texture hasn’t registered that well but I actually like the effect this gives. If you feel like having a look at what Paper and Apparel are up to, click here!

Gift Tags

December 7, 2012

Here are some mock up gift tags I created to go with my winter cabin wrapping paper. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get these printed. It’s a shame as I would have liked to have seen them in the flesh but at least you get the idea.

Christmas fair & wrapping paper

December 6, 2012

I’m selling at a some christmas fairs in the next few days. Excited / nervous as I’ve never done one before. First one is this evening at Exeter Phoenix with late night shopping from 5 till 9pm. Created a mock up stall to see how all my products would look but have no idea what to expect. Fingers crossed it goes well but I’m pleased to say my ‘winter cabin’ wrapping paper has finally arrived and just in the nick of time. It will be available in my online shop soon but for now, here’s some quick photos. Mulled wine awaits!
